# Terms of Service — Coabey Studios

## 1. Acceptance
By using Coabey Studios software, websites, or services (collectively "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

## 2. The Services
Coabey Studios develops interactive storytelling software, including LoreUnbounded ("LoreU"), game engines, and companion applications. Our software may connect to local or remote AI backends you configure.

## 3. Ownership & IP

### 3.1 Our Code & Assets
All source code, compiled binaries, game assets, artwork, audio, branding, and documentation provided by Coabey Studios are our intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell our software except as expressly permitted by a separate license agreement.

### 3.2 AI-Assisted Creation
Some assets in our products are created with AI assistance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coabey Studios claims ownership over all original creative output produced by our systems, including procedural character generation, narrative content, and AI-assisted artwork. Our outputs are the result of curated systems, original code, and human direction—not raw LLM generation.

### 3.3 Your Content
Chat logs, character customizations, and narrative choices you create while using LoreU belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your stories. We do not train on your data. We do not harvest chat logs.

## 4. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our Services to:
- Generate illegal content or promote illegal activity
- Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
- Abuse AI backends through automated scripts or excessive requests
- Circumvent license restrictions or payment systems
- Use our brand, logos, or trademarks without permission

## 5. AI Backend Disclaimer
LoreU may connect to third-party AI services (local Ollama, AI Horde, OpenRouter, etc.). These are independent services. We are not responsible for their uptime, content policies, or data handling. Configure them at your own discretion.

## 6. No Guarantees
Our software is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are a small studio building on recycled hardware — we ship what we'd use ourselves.

## 7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coabey Studios is not liable for any damages arising from your use of our Services. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential damages. If you run LoreU off a 2012 tower, you already know the risks.

## 8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. Major changes will be noted on our website.

## 9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our Services if you violate these Terms. You may stop using our Services at any time. Your locally stored data is yours — we can't touch it.

## 10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
